- Exception is when we let older kids do a video call with a friend or family member, but that only happens while we are awake.
- No mobile phones except for emergencies
- Our kids all use WiFi only devices (iPads/iPod Touches).
- Exception is our paying for a pay-as-you-go device that is given to a child to use if they are out of the house for a sport or other activity.
- Limited time on devices
- We have kids set a timer to track their usage.
- Devices are kept in a central location charging station in the home
- All devices are supposed to be placed back on a charger at our hutch in the kitchen.
- Lock down the devices
- Use of browser and downloading of apps are controlled by the parents.
- No technology in bedrooms
